Supergirl season 3 episode 23 (finale) spoilers: Kara vs. Serena

Supergirl season 3 episode 13

Supergirl season 3 episode 23 is the final episode of the season and judging from some of the first details it’s a reminder that behind every villain is an even more terrifying one.

Through most of this season, we’ve been led to believe that Reign is mostly running the ship and that Serena is the Worldkiller commander-of-sorts working with her from beyond the grave. However, it turns out that Supergirl’s mother Alura is still alive, the same goes for Serena. She is still controlling things and also still has a direct line of communication with Reign. That is going to lead to a violent final few episodes as we could be seeing a more dangerous showdown than we ever anticipated. Lives are in the balance and at the end of the finale could be some shocking events that change the show forever.

The just-released Supergirl season 3 episode 23 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below offers up some more information regarding what’s coming up next:

SHOCKING SEASON FINALE – Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and team take on Serena in an epic battle for Earth. Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Robert Rovner & Jessica Queller (#323). Original airdate 6/18/2018.

Given the stakes of this season, we imagine that this is going to be one of the biggest finales we’ve seen to date. This isn’t just about saving National City at this point; if the wrong move is made, the entire world could be impacted in some shape or form. This is just one other thing to keep in mind as we see this story progress.

The biggest thing that we wholeheartedly expect entering the finale is simply this: A relative lack of resolution. It’s hard to imagine that this season is going to tie together every loose end. They have to give you something to be excited for when it comes to season 4, right?
