Timeless deleted scene: More of Agent Christopher’s past

Timeless season 2

Over the course of the past several days, the Timeless writers room has been kind enough to share a number of different deleted scenes from their Twitter account. The goal here is really quite simple: Promoting the campaign to #RenewTimeless, something that has been going on for weeks now but, unfortunately, there still isn’t a whole lot of movement on. We hope that there is going to be a chance to get some good news soon … but we’ve certainly seen at this point that the folks over at NBC are not in too much of a hurry.

While you do wait for their decision, why not check out the latest deleted scene below? This one comes from the episode “The Day Reagan Was Shot” and features at the center of it the younger version of Agent Christopher (Karen David) facing a tough situation. We know that her parents tried to set her up in an arranged marriage and in this scene, you get to learn a little bit more about the male counterpart here. He is interested in the marriage mostly as a way to get his parents off of his back — he recognizes that the situation is not ideal, but he is also fond of her and realizes that the two could get along. There may not be love here, but in the end, he still recognizes some benefit to the arrangement.

Ultimately, we do know where this story ends — with Agent Christopher eventually marrying the love of her life and getting to be the woman that she wants to be in the future. The purpose of this scene is to add some greater context — we understand why it was removed (for time purposes), but are nonetheless rather happy to have it now.
