The Sinner season 2 premiere date official over at USA

The Sinner season 2 now has an official premiere date via USA — and it’s really only two months from coming on the air!

Today, the network confirmed that their mystery series starring Bill Pullman will officially be returning come Wednesday, August 1 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time — which is around a year after the first season premiered. Jessica Biel’s participation as an actor on this season remains unclear, but she will be back as an executive producer.

For those who have not seen some of our recent discussion on some of the teasers for the upcoming season, The Sinner season 2 is going to be centered in part around Detective Harry Ambrose (Pullman) as he ventures back to a place near and dear to his heart — however, in the process of that he must take on an unspeakable crime where a young boy is accused of killing his parents — even though there is no clear evidence of a motive. There will be clear similarities between this season and the one that aired before it and beyond that, this new season is also featuring the fantastic Carrie Coon from both The Leftovers and Fargo. Clearly, USA knows that they have a huge hit on their hands here and they want to do what they can in order to remain in the good graces of everyone from critics to viewers to award shows. There are always concerns about doing another season for a limited series and with that in mind, it’s best to counteract that in the best ways possible. Getting a great cast together is a fantastic start.

Once there is more news to share regarding The Sinner and the future, we will have that for you here.
