Supergirl season 3 episode 22 photo: Erica Durance suits up!
The attached image is of Alura sporting a famous coat of arms, and in between that and the golden, she suddenly has a lot in common with her daughter! We do think that this means the character is going to be heading on Earth, presumably to take part in some sort of a showdown with Reign with Kara Danvers at her side. Alura would seemingly have all of the powers Kara would on Earth and is a pretty powerful ally — given that the title here is “Make It Reign,” all signs do point towards this being a major showdown involving this character.
Now, can Supergirl really trust her? We want to think so just given the fact that she’s her mother … or is she? Is this somehow Astra? There are still reasons to be worried just because there always is with this show and beyond that, it’s also not like Kara has had just this huge amount of time to spend with her mother, either. There is still plenty of time for things to go awry.
Ultimately, “Make It Reign” is coming on the air a week from Monday and no matter what happens here, it is going to set up the finale airing in the middle of June.
We do have to say this, as dark as it may sound: We’re getting near the point now where Reign may have to do something truly terrible, as in claim a life of a major character or something in that sort of vein. Think in terms of what Slade Wilson did back during the second season of Arrow.
