Queen Sugar season 3 episode 2 preview: Violet’s offer and much more
After tonight’s special premiere, next week the series is shifting back over to its normal timeslot. It is going to be airing one episode a week for the rest of the season, so consider this week to be somewhat of a special event. It’s launching you into the story of Violent, Nova, and others, and moving into the next week we will see many people facing some of the most challenging decisions they’ve had to make so far. These are the moments that could define the remainder of many careers and that’s something that should lead to some excellent, interesting drama. Queen Sugar is , at its core, a story very much about characters and relationships. We’re curious to see more of where things go from here.

Violet receives a business proposition that she cannot refuse, Nova faces a difficult career decision, and Micah asks his parents to transfer schools. Plus, Charley learns shocking information about Sam Landry.
How are the ratings going to be?
That’s something that we are going to be tracking in these previews for the rest of the summer, but since there are no specific ratings to report on here, let’s start things off by giving you a sense as to where they were for season 2. Last year, we saw it post on average close to 1.5 million live viewers and, to go along with that, a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic. So long as it can draw a 0.3 rating thing year and around 1.3 million, we do think that it will be more than fine in the long-term.
