POLL: Was Agents of SHIELD, Gotham, Madam Secretary, Elementary, or another renewal most-pleasant surprise?
In the end, that is what this particular poll is about: Naming the show with the renewal that most put a smile on our face. Take a look at our own list below, and at the end of the article is a pull to share some of your thoughts!
Voting Rules – Vote however many times you like! Voting is open between now and 1:00 p.m. Pacific time on Thursday, May 31. We’ll announce a winner of the poll then. By voting, you consent to have your vote tabulated in the final result.

Agents of SHIELD – Thanks in part to some strong storytelling and a good relationship between Marvel and ABC, we are now set officially to be getting more of the superhero show … albeit not until we get around to the summer of 2019.
Blindspot – Even though NBC moved the Jaimie Alexander series to Friday nights, it still managed to get enough viewers together to secure a season 4.
Dynasty – One of the biggest surprises of the year was seeing the remake get a second season despite airing in a tough timeslot and getting even tougher ratings. Hopefully, it finds some better luck for itself moving into season 2.
Elementary – On paper, the odds were severely stacked against this series thanks in part to it premiering so late in the spring. Yet, the international success for the series seems to be what is allowing it to pull through and continue to get more episodes.
Gotham – While season 5 is set to be the final one for the show on Fox, we’re still rather glad to get it nonetheless. We just wish it was for a full season of 22…
Instinct – Despite premiering late in the spring, the Alan Cumming series managed to perform well enough in total viewers to get another chance moving into season 2.
Lethal Weapon – By far, the most polarizing entry in the list. The show is coming back without Clayne Crawford, and on the road to that happening it’s pretty clear that things got a little bit ugly. How it fares in the ratings from here will be one of the interesting things about season 3.
Madam Secretary – Its ratings were not altogether great when it aired on Sunday nights at 10:00 p.m. Eastern over this past season, but luckily, CBS seemed to realize that this is the sort of timeslot in which any show would struggle in.
