Supergirl season 3 finale may bring big change, says David Harewood
Harewood was one of many wonderful guests at the MCM Comic Con in London over the weekend, and while answering questions about the future of the series, this is what he had to say:
“I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next year … I won’t go into too many details, but at the end of this season … there are some changes, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how those changes play out. [Your] question is very much wrapped up in those changes, so I can’t go into it too much, but I’m really looking forward to next season.”
So what exactly does this mean? The statement from Harewood is really too vague to piece together one way or another. Yet, we do know that we’d like to see moving into season 4 something that really gives him the opportunity as an actor to take on some very different challenges, including more of himself confronting his identity as a Martian surrounded by humans. What if he fell in love with someone from Erath, and what sort of complications would that cause? It could be very different than someone like Kara having a romance with an everyday human, given that in his natural form J’onn looks different. There could be so much fantastic storytelling that stems from that, just like Harewood is getting some really good, really emotional material this season from what is happening to his father. It’s a nice remind that J’onn can be a hero to someone without even fighting out in the field.
You can see a little bit more of Harewood, coupled with many other big-name guests, within the video below.
