Arrow season 7 spoilers: New characters coming; first details!
According to a report coming in via TVLine, the CW series is adding a pair of new characters to the mix for the episodes coming up.
A possible adversary – This character is described as “an ambitious, young, anti-vigilante recruit at the SCPD,” and beyond that there are some comparisons to the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer of vigilantes.” That’s fairly troublesome for our team, but we also do wonder just how dangerous a young anti-vigilante recruit can be in comparison to Team Arrow and all of the experience everyone has under their belt at this point.
A successful tech wizard – Apparently, this recurring character is gay and “harbors a heartbreaking past,” whatever that means. Could this character be a Curtis Holt love interest? They have a little bit in common when it comes to their skill in the tech field. Also, Curtis hasn’t exactly been all that lucky in love as of late. (We’re totally cool if this is a quality love interest for Curtis, but beyond that, we really want to see more of him and Felicity working together professionally in season 7.)

The benefit of Arrow getting some of this casting intel out there for all to see so early is pretty simple: It could get some conversations started and with that, couple allow them to get some of the best actors possible. Casting is something that the show did a really good job at in season 6, given that the producers managed to get both Michael Emerson and Cayden James and then also Kirk Acevedo as Ricardo Diaz. If the show continues down this route for season 7 it’s certainly going to be more than fine.
