The Sinner season 2 teaser: No one is welcome here (video)

Sinner

Leading up to their big premiere episode USA has just unveiled one of their latest teasers for The Sinner season 2 and if there is one way in which to describe it, we would say that it is this: Chilling. It’s a reminder that the show is diving into some more dark, mysterious waters.

Beyond that, we do think that this promo is a reminder that the show is getting a little bit off the grid with some of the stories that they are telling next. The second season is going to feature the character of Ambrose (Bill Pullman) heading back to some of his old stomping grounds in order to take on a new and very-brutal case. At the center of this upcoming one is a young man accused of murdering his own parents. All signs point to the character doing it, but there is no clear sense of how or why.

Is this young man really is the killer, it’s fairly clear why this show is being branded The Sinner — thematically, it’s fairly similar to the first season. That iteration of the show was a little bit less about who was responsible for the death of Frankie (it was clear that Cora killed him) and a little bit more about understanding more of the reasons why. This show is a dive into the psyche and there could be some interesting things that come along with that.

While there is no premiere date for The Sinner season 2, it is clear that new episodes are going to start airing a little later this summer on USA. Given that at one point the first season was just billed as a limited series, it’s rather remarkable that we are getting another installment of this in the first place.
