The Voice season 15 premiere date hopes, coaching lineup
Of course, there is certainly going to be a season 15 of the NBC sensation, just like there will probably be at least a few more seasons beyond that. This remains the network’s most viable in-season franchise, though we do think that America’s Got Talent has supplanted it somewhat in terms of overall value. The biggest issues with The Voice are that it loses steam after the blind auditions and that there really isn’t enough time know all of the contestants individually — these issues are probably going to continue having it lose steam over time but it’s still incredibly strong for NBC and produces a lot of income even away from the live airings themselves. Think in terms of YouTube, product placement, and other matters.
The Voice season 15 itself will premiere on NBC more than likely this September, much as it has over the past few years. Beyond that, it will also be bringing back some familiar faces in Kelly Clarkson, who got great reviews as a judge this season, and then also Jennifer Hudson following her run this past fall. Miley Cyrus, who had done the two previous fall iterations, won’t be back this time around, but with this show there is still certainly a chance that she is going to come back at some point down the line.
Of course, series staples Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will also return as coaches, and it feels like both of them will until they suddenly decide that they are done. Shelton himself has said in the past that he isn’t interested in taking a season off and then returning — whenever he does leave, that will probably be it. (Hopefully, that’s not for a little while still.)
Expect to see NBC making a formal announcement on the Voice season 15 premiere date at some point during the summer.
