The Voice finale: Should Britton Buchanan, Brynn Cartelli, Kyla Jade, or Spensha Baker win?
We will start by saying this: We don’t think that there is any certifiable dud in the bunch. They’re all talented, but we’re writing mostly from the vantage point of who could be the best winner both now, and also in the future.
Kyla Jade – This is the one that gives us the most internal conflict. If we are writing this based solely on who we think is the best singer, it’s Kyla and it’s not even close. We do think that with a show titled The Voice, it does make some sense to give the title to the person who is actually the best overall singer of the group. Yet, we do also wonder if her winning is going to lead to the most memorable winner a few years from now.
Brynn Cartelli – She’s not the vocalist that Kyla is, and in some ways she’s actually the opposite extreme. She’s got the most potential and of the four, she is probably the one with the biggest chance of actually being a star down the road. But, do you really want to vote on potential with a show that has struggled for years to actually produce notable winners?
Spensha Baker – She’s the winner if you love country music. She has the least amount of fan support judging from what we’ve seen online, but the reason you have to take note of her, talent aside, is because there’s a tendency for the country/Blake Shelton vote to come out in numbers that you don’t often see online.
Britton Buchanan – Finally, we turn to Britton, who we could see as a surprise winner just because he needed the save last week. Yet, he brought SO MUCH to every performance tonight and is probably the best live performer of any of them. That may not matter that much at the end of the show, but it does matter to an extent here.
