NCIS: Los Angeles season 10: Will Hidoko survive?

NCIS: Los Angeles season 9 episode 11

We’ve spent a lot of time discussing as of late the epic cliffhanger when it comes to Sam, Callen, Deeks, and Kensi on NCIS: Los Angeles.

Yet, at the same time we don’t want to overlook the uncertain status of one Harlee Hidoko, played on the show by Andrea Bordeaux. She has been around as a recurring player since the start of the season and over the course of the year, we’ve come to appreciate the character. While she does have a closer relationship with Mosley than the remainder of the team, she also showed over the course of the year that she is willing to go wrong and stand with everyone else when need be. We’ve also come to know more about her and she’s got an interesting backstory that is worth exploring a little bit more.

So are we going to get an actual chance to do that? We’d hope so, but for now, it’s still not entirely clear if she is even alive. If there is one bit of hope that we have regarding the future of this character, it’s simply this: We saw no body or confirmation that the character is actually dead. So long as this continues to be the case, we’ve got a little bit of hope that there will be a chance to see her again. We also think that if it was the explicit intention of producers to kill her off, why wouldn’t they have just done that? There’s a reason why her fate hangs in the balance, just as it does with so many other characters. They want for there to be a certain amount of ambiguity in regards to the character’s future.

Hopefully, we’ll learn about Hidoko’s future at some point before season 10 premieres — things aren’t looking good right now, but we know with the entire NCIS franchise that things are not always what they seem.
