NCIS season 15 finale promo: The aftereffects of Sloane’s scars
In this particular promo, you can see the source of tremendous anguish for none other than Maria Bello’s character of Jack Sloane. Going into the finale, we had learned a few different things about her including some troubles in her past. We also knew that she had some pretty intense scars on her back. All of that is going to take center stage during the finale, as there is going to be an opportunity for her to seek vengeance on those who wronged her.
The question that you should ask yourself going into this finale is how far Sloane will go in her efforts to get revenge over the trauma that she’s gone through? We knew that Jack can be a fairly intense person, but this will throw her into an emotional state that is very different than we have seen from her in season 15. It was clear that she was hurting in her own way over the departure of Abby, but it is a little bit different for her to feel sad over that as opposed to someone like Gibbs, who knew Abby for a solid decade-and-a-half on the show. Sloane was just getting to know both her and Clayton Reeves before everything that happened.
So what is the mission for everyone else in the team going into the NCIS finale? It is really quite simple. Not only is there going to be an effort to try to save Jack from those who are out to hurt her, but there is also an effort to save her from herself. This is going to give Maria Bello by far the strongest material that she has had since first joining the show, and as someone who appreciates her as a performer, we are very excited to see what she can do with it. This is the reason that you cast someone like her on your show. It is also valuable that NCIS finds a way to make this finale as strong as possible, given that there are still many people upset over the exit of Pauley Perrette.
