Supergirl season 3 episode 21 spoilers: Can Kara make a big change?

When Supergirl season 3 episode 21 airs on The CW on Monday, June 4, we’re going to be on the cusp of a final showdown between Supergirl and Reign. However, before getting around to that there are some other big decisions that Kara could face and they can include some major life changes that she never expected she would have to make.

The first thing that is curious about this episode comes via its title: “Not Kansas.” That is clearly a reference to The Wizard of Oz, which suggests that she’s going to be in a position that feels rather unusual to her. (Heck, in some ways that may have been how she felt upon originally coming to Earth from Krypton.) There is going to be a big decision that she has to face within this episode, as evidenced by the new Supergirl season 3 episode 21 synopsis below:

KARA CONSIDERS A MAJOR LIFE CHANGE – Kara (Melissa Benoist) makes a major life decision. Meanwhile, J’onn (David Harewood) finds out that special DEO-caliber guns have hit the streets of National City. Dermott Downs directed the episode written by Gabriel Llanas & Anna Musky-Goldwyn (#321). Original airdate 6/4/2018.

Whatever happens over the course of the episode will end up bleeding into the big finale within a couple of weeks, which we imagine is going to have two different tasks. Not only will this episode wrap up presumably the Reign arc (provided that she does leave, as expected), but also set the stage for whatever is coming up next for season 4. (Season 4, by the way, is going to be premiering on Sunday nights this fall — it is leading off a night that The CW has not programmed in quite some time.)
