Ballers season 4, Insecure season 3 premiere dates revealed by HBO

Both of these shows are officially kicking off their latest batches of episodes of Sunday, August 12. Ballers will kick things off at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time, whereas Insecure will follow things up at 10:30. HBO also released a short synopsis for what the upcoming season of Ballers will be about:

This season, Spencer (Dwayne Johnson) and Joe (Rob Corddry) take their skills to Los Angeles as they look to expand their roster and horizons in the world of action sports.

One of the most surprising things about Ballers at this point is simply that Johnson can continue to manage this show while being arguably the most-bankable star in all of Hollywood at the moment.

As for Insecure, one of the joys in Issa Rae’s creation comes via the mystery of it all. Season 2 ended in such a way that Issa and Lawrence’s future is completely in tatters; yet, Jay Ellis is still listed as a part of the cast. HBO isn’t releasing too much information publicly about the future of the show but our hope is that it remains every bit as funny and introspective as it’s been through two seasons. Rae’s voice and comedic style is very much different from anyone else you are going to see on all of TV.

Hopefully, both of these shows have at least one more season if not more coming beyond these upcoming ones — neither is being promoted as their final season. We do anticipate the ratings being down given that they are not airing after Game of Thrones anymore, like they were most of last summer.
