Supernatural season 14 premiere date hopes; will Wayward Sisters appear?
It certainly goes without saying at this point that the show is coming back. After all, it remains enormously successful on The CW and is the longest-running series of its kind in history. Network programming head Mark Pedowitz has said a few times over that he plans on having this show stick around for however long that the cast and crew want to keep making it. We believe that we’re at least going to get a season 15 renewal, largely because 15 is such a nice symbolic number and there have been no indications that the series is close to coming to an end.
As for a specific Supernatural season 14 premiere date, that is something that we will find out some more information about a little bit later this summer when The CW releases some of their formal start dates. It’s fair to assume that the show will be back come early October and, to go along with this, that it is going to air come Thursday nights. That has actually been confirmed already via The CW releasing their fall schedule earlier today. It will be paired in the fall with Legacies, which is the upcoming The Originals spin-off featuring Danielle Rose Russell as the character of Hope.
While unfortunately Supernatural is not being joined in the upcoming season by Wayward Sisters, it remains clear that some of the show’s stars still want some of those women around. In speaking more about that backdoor pilot (which ultimately was not picked up last week), Jensen Ackles said the following to Entertainment Weekly:
“Selfishly, I’m split … I’d love to see these girls go and tell this amazing story, and I’d love to help them do that. But at the same time, I want to keep those characters in our world. I don’t want to let them go; they’re amazing characters. They’re fan favorites and they’re cast favorites, so there’s a reason that they got that opportunity and I think it just goes to show how great they are and how valuable they are to us.”

There is always going to be a place for Jody Mills and many of the other characters on the spin-off on Supernatural proper, so it is really just a matter of time to see whether or not something like that happens.
