Law & Order: SVU season 19: Are we seeing less of Fin?

Is Ice-T leaving Law & Order: SVU and the iconic role of Fin Tutuola behind? That’s a question that was certainly raised through the events at the start of the episode.

Let’s put things this way: Fin got a call officially as Sergeant early on in this episode, and with that seems to come a transfer. That is really great news when it comes to his personal future. However, when it comes to his future with the SVU squad led by Olivia Benson we’re a little bit worried. It’s a really strange situation to be in as a viewer of the show, given that you want to root for Fin to get a promotion; yet, there’s a fear that comes with him potentially separating from the rest of the unit.

In terms of news, we can tell you that nothing has broke suggesting as of right now that Ice-T is leaving; if it does happen, it’d be particularly sad given that this is a season where we already lost Raul Esparza. Also, he’s been a part of the show since SEASON 2. When you are a part of something for this long, it certainly makes sense to want to have you around for a landmark season 20. Hopefully that’s not the final season of the show — we want SVU to break the record — but we want him around one way or another. Fin is invaluable to Olivia, as she trusts him more than almost anybody else.

Here’s the good news…

While it seemed for most of the episode like Fin was departing, he found a way to be transferred back at the end of the episode. For the time being, he is sticking around. Rejoice! We don’t want to imagine the world of SVU without Fin.
