A Good Behavior season 3 could still happen in some form
Is Good Behavior officially renewed for a third season yet? This is a question we’ve discussed on multiple occasions in the past, and we could be closer to an answer.
To say that the show’s battle for more episodes is complicated is an understatement. As we’ve said many times over it absolutely is a series worthy of more episodes. Michelle Dockery is outstanding in the lead role of Letty and it fells like, both structurally and tonally, this series should be a hit. It’s rather mysterious why it hasn’t actually drawn the numbers that we think that it should. For one reason or another, the show just hasn’t connected to the mainstream and its ratings are much lower than the majority of TNT’s lineup.
Yet, the network believes in the property, which is one of the reasons why they haven’t canceled it just yet. to go along with that, this is also one of the reasons why there could still be something more coming in the future.
Speaking (per Deadline) this week while at the Turner upfront presentation, here is what TNT / TBS head Kevin Reilly had to say about the plans for the future:
“We haven’t made a final decision [about what’s next] … I don’t see multiple more seasons of it but there could be a way to cap that off for the audience that really loved it. Right now it’s not in the planning stages, but we have talked to the producers. If I can get the real estate and the cash flow going to cap it off properly we’d figure it out.”
One scenario we could see is a limited final season of around four or six episodes designed to give Letty’s story more of a fitting end; a TV movie is also possible, but we’d personally prefer something a little bit longer than that. The dream would be to get a ten-episode season 3 that ties up most loose ends. You could then leave yourself open in the event that the show delivers bigger ratings than expected, but you would also make sure that the series had a fitting ending in the event that this didn’t happen.
