Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists series order official
Freeform handed down today a ten-episode season 1 order to the spin-off series, which features much of the same creative team behind the scenes as the original including creator I. Marlene King. This series is based on another book series from author Sara Shepard and, to go along with that, also has the talents of such performers on board as Sasha Pieterse (Alison) and Janel Parrish (Mona).
So what’s different about The Perfectionists? It starts via the setting, given that we’re now heading to Oregon after seeing so many of the characters on Pretty Little Liars in the sleepy town of Rosewood. Alison is taking a new teaching position there and unfortunately, not too long after that, things get a little crazy and murderous. Mona’s presence in Oregon is not altogether clear, but she is coming bearing cake! There are still many other questions worth wondering, especially in terms of how the series is going to tackle Ali’s relationship with Emily and her new family at the end of Pretty Little Liars proper. You can’t just forget that some of that happened!
Beyond Peterse and Parrish, the other most-notable cast member for The Perfectionists is Descendants actress Sofia Carson. Just based on resume alone there is a good reason to check out The Perfectionists. Now, we just have to wait and see whether or not it actually lives up to some of the billing. The one thing that is a bummer here is that despite the first teaser and some of the hype now, you are not actually going to get a chance to see The Perfectionists in action until 2019. That’s still a long time to wait given that it’s only May!
