Siren episode 9 preview: Can Donna get Ryn back?
For starters, remember that there are only ten episodes for this first season. That means that we’re almost at the finale, and based on where we are right now, the town of Bristol Cove is changing and descending into chaos. By the end of this first season things are likely to never be the same. The knowledge of mermaids is certainly spreading and beyond just that, so is the violence. We understand that, given that you are talking about a desperate group who is trying basically everything that they can in order to figure out a way to survive. They’ve been subjected to experiments, just as they have also been subjected to a dwindling food supply.
Moving forward now, the question is simple: What else can be done? Donna has a quest in Siren episode 9, and that is something that is explained further in the attached synopsis:
Donna comes ashore with two other members of her colony to bring Ryn back home. When mermaids once again begin wreaking havoc throughout the town, Dale tries to put an end to it once and for all.
We do find there to be a great bit of irony within the phrase “once and for all” here, mostly because of the fact that we hardly determine it in this way as well. While there is no season 2 officially as of yet, all signs point to that happening — which, in turn, likely means that there are a whole lot of other showdowns that are going to be coming in the future. Consider this just another tipping point in what is sure to be an ongoing battle.
