The Blacklist season 5 episode 21 video: Who is Lawrence Dean Devlin?

The Blacklist logo any seasonWho is Lawrence Dean Devlin? That is the subject of the latest The Blacklist season 5 episode of the same name, and the sneak peek CarterMatt has for you below gives you a little bit of a sense as to what could be coming up.

In this preview (via TV Guide), you have an opportunity to see a little more of the aftermath to what happened on this past episode. If you recall, Samar was kidnapped and that looked to be an incredibly dangerous situation for her. After all, it wasn’t exactly like her captor was altogether interested in giving her insight into why she was taken or what his own planned endgame was going to be with her. We don’t have a whole lot to go on at the moment other than the sneak peek below, which shows a man (who seems to be Devlin) giving a bizarre monologue about how he doesn’t take pleasure in taking lives, but feels like it is something that does need to be done here and there.

By the end of this episode we are projecting that there will be a chance in order to learn further about what’s happened with Samar and if there is a way to save her — while most of the Task Force could be struggling with trying to find her here, the real winner seems to be Reddington. After all, he gets to put the majority of his focus on the duffel bag mystery while everyone else is somewhat distracted. He does now know that answers seem to be awaiting him down in Costa Rica and he can put the majority of the effort now on tracking it down.

At least when it comes to the duffel bag mystery, it doesn’t look as though there will be answers coming in the immediate future. Just remember for a moment here that The Blacklist has one more episode on the other side of this and this is when NBC may decide to hand down more in the way of answers.
