New Mayans MC teaser hints at fall 2018 premiere date

Mayans MCWhile it’s been a very long wait, it does feel like we’re starting to actually get closer to a Mayans MC premiere date over on FX. The latest teaser is proof.

The beautiful teaser below (amazing color palette, no?) is the latest reminder that the show, a spin-off to the magnificent Sons of Anarchy, is set to come out a little bit later this year. This is a show that will be set in Southern California and will feature a different chapter of the motorcycle club featured often on the flagship series. There are certainly unlimited stories that can be told within this world and we’re certainly curious to see just what ends up making this one different from Sons of Anarchy, which ran for many years and ended up being a cultural phenomenon.

One of the things that we really appreciate is the attention to detail here with FX and executive producer Kurt Sutter, as everyone involved opted to really taking their time cultivating this show rather than just rushing something out there for the sake of capitalizing on the original series. There was a lot of work done retooling the pilot and, to go along with that, making sure that the perfect cast and characters were on board to properly tell the story.

Our hope here is that Mayans MC is going to premiere on FX Tuesdays at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time, mostly because that is the same time-frame that was used for the original Sons of Anarchy back when it was on the air. Given that the show is premiering in fall, our hope is for a September premiere date. that would give Mayans MC a shot to run the whole first season before the end of the year.
