Billions season 3 episode 8 preview: Can Axe start again?

It’s pretty darn hard for anyone to try to reboot a part of their life after seeing many things go awry with it. It’s probably even harder when you have the reputation of one Bobby Axelrod. Such is the story moving into Billions season 3 episode 8, an episode that is going to likely show a wide array of the problems that lie for him within his own comedy. There’s already a lot of tension at the company, with Taylor already balking under a lot of the control that they have been under. Moving forward, some of this could escalate to yet another level.

Axe tries for a fresh start at Axe Capital. Chuck asserts his political autonomy—and wrestles with whether to honor his word to a friend. Taylor asks for more independence at Axe Capital. Lara and Axe negotiate a new arrangement regarding Lara’s money. Connerty adjusts to an uncomfortable situation.

As you can tend, there is a lot going on at the moment with Axe in terms of both his personal and professional lives, and we clearly don’t see a whole lot of that changes as we press onward and close to the end of this season. It’s all unstable and we can easily see him pushing too hard and being too aggressive to the point of spooking many of his other associates. This is not a guy who knows how to go into just about anything with a deft touch. The same could also be said for Chuck Rhoades, which is probably why in turn we’ve seen him struggle with so many different things.
