The Woman in White episode 5 (finale) preview: Sir Percival’s secret comes out!

The Woman in White episode 5

The Woman in White episode 5 is the final episode of the series and with that in mind, it’s fair to expect a pivotal hour of television. Over the course of this installment there will be some huge secrets revealed and, beyond that, also some really good opportunities to better understand who some of these people are. This is Walter’s chance in particular to put all of his cards on the table in order to determine his future.

The Woman in White episode 5 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below offers up some additional insight right now on the subject of what’s coming:

Sir Percival’s secret is exposed, and Walter risks everything for the woman he loves.

How is the series performing in the ratings at the moment? For the most part, we’d describe the performance as “solid.” This is a series that, at present, is generating some solid numbers. Yet, we don’t think that one way or another, it is going to have much bearing when it comes to the long-term future. This is a five-part series designed from the get-go as an adaptation, and with that in mind, it’s hard to imagine there being more down the line unless this is something that the BBC decides that they really want and are willing to go beyond the source material in order to ensure that it actually happens.

For now, anticipate The Women in White episode 5 to be the end of the road for this series — hopefully, it will please some fans of the book and also make people who have enjoyed the series feel as though there is a satisfying conclusion. We absolutely want that, largely because this has been such a long journey and we’re hoping that, in the end, it can prove to be quite worthwhile.
