Timeless season 2 episode 9, 10 (finale) spoilers: The showdown
These two episodes are set to bring the story home of the second season and if the show isn’t renewed or canceled by this point, they could be the most important two hours in the series’ entire lives. We know that there are many people out there who have been clamoring for a rather long time now to have Timeless air a little earlier in the night, and this is going to happen here with these episodes airing starting at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. You’ll get a chance to see over them two very different hours that could lead to some devastating consequences for the time team — with most of it setting up an epic showdown like no other with Rittenhouse.

“The General” – When the Mothership jumps to South Carolina in 1863, the Time Team partners up with a courageous Union spy and military leader, Harriet Tubman – AKA “The General” – to thwart Rittenhouse’s plan to alter the outcome of the Civil War. Back in the present, Rittenhouse hits the team where it hurts the most.
“Chinatown” SEASON FINALE – When Jiya (Claudia Doumit) makes a daring escape from Rittenhouse that strands her in San Francisco’s Chinatown in 1888 with no way home, the fractured Time Team goes back to save her in this emotional and action-packed finale that leaves the team questioning everything.
As for whether or not we are going to be getting an epic cliffhanger at the tail end of the story, it’s a little too early to determine anything for certain. Given the series’ longtime status as a bubble show, we like to think that there will be some closure, but also still some sort of epic tease for what season 3 could be. That’s an added incentive, after all, to try and convince NBC to bring back the show for more. Let’s hope for something epic, something fun, and something that serves in the end as a satisfying conclusion to what has been overall a supremely entertaining saga.
