Fear the Walking Dead season 4: New sneak peek; is Madison dead?
Yet, we will admit that we’re somewhat distracted in watching this because of the larger question that exists out there about Madison right now: Whether or not she is actually among the living. Basically of the way that season 4 of this series is being structured at the moment, we are actually seeing things told in a way in which there are two different time periods switching back and forth. In the past, it’s clear that Madison is alive and is making all sorts of negotiations. However, the present holds a number of different questions. For starters, why was Nick so intent on fulfilling his goal before his death? Was it his way in order to get vengeance for something that happened to her? This is a pretty fair question.
Yet, it also feels like it’s a little bit easy to say that Madison is dead, mostly because within the world of Fear the Walking Dead these sorts of problems can easily happen. Yet, doesn’t this feel like it’s a little bit too easy? We are at a point right now where we are starting to feel like it is. It’s a little more interesting to us if Madison just fell in with a different group of people and it’s that shifting loyalty that caused Nick’s reaction — or, maybe she’s stranded somewhere or presumed dead when it is not actually the case.
What we feel the most confident about at the moment is simply this: Why would Fear the Walking Dead eliminate two of their most-prominent cast members over the course of a handful of episodes? Given that we’ve already lost Frank Dillane, it feels too soon to be losing Kim Dickens, as well.
