Blindspot season 3 episode 21 preview: How Jane’s past can help her future

Blindspot season 3 episode 21 is airing next week and with the season (and possible series) finale on the way, you better believe that the Jaimie Alexander series is going to go hard. We’re gearing up for a huge showdown sooner rather than later and there’s a chance things could get bloody, surprising, and maybe even nostalgic here and there. After all, much of this series has been about touching in on certain parts of Jane’s past in order to determine her present and, consequently, her future. This upcoming episode (which carries with it the title of “Defection”) could be a microcosm of that more so than any other episode.

Below, the Blindspot season 3 episode 21 synopsis offers up some more news regarding precisely what could be coming up next:

05/11/2018 (08:00PM – 09:00PM) (Friday) : Jane (Jaimie Alexander) is forced to recruit someone from her past to help take down a dangerous alliance. Also starring Sullivan Stapleton (Kurt Weller), Rob Brown (Edgar Reade), Audrey Esparza (Tasha Zapata), Ashley Johnson (Agent Patterson) and Luke Mitchell (Roman) TV-14 L, V

As we get further and further along in this season we imagine that there are going to be some more surprises unearthed, and that could include some other interesting reveals on Jane’s past. Much of that just depends on what sort of sentiment the writers want to leave you on at the end of the season. If Blindspot does not come back for another season, the biggest thing that we would hope is that they would tie up most of the necessarily loose ends — maybe create a small tease of what season 4 would look like in a perfect world, but don’t go overboard with it at the same time.
