Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 23 sneak peek: Junior goes rogue

Hawaii Five-0

If there is one thing that we’ve learned about Junior Reigns on Hawaii Five-0it’s that this guy is as by-the-book as they come. That’s going to change, at least in part, entering the new episode airing on CBS Friday night.

What’s going on? Junior’s friend Cammy finds herself in grave danger, and the moment that he hears about that he decides to take a page from Steve McGarrett. Clearly, Steve has rubbed off on Junior a little bit! We’re not seeing a guy here who is willing to storm into a crime scene or a suspect’s car in order to ensure that he gets the results he needs — he’s not exactly following protocol and, to go along with that, he’s not waiting around for either Steve or Danny to make his move. This sneak peek below is told mostly through Steve and Danny’s lens as they see just how intent Junior is on making sure justice is served. There’s a lot of action and intensity in here but, to go along with that, you’ve also got a little bit of trademark Steve / Danny banter to go along with it. Would Hawaii Five-0 really be the same show without it?

This episode is going to feature one of the more complex cases we’ve seen this season and our hope is that it will start to build towards whatever is happening in the finale. There are still a couple of major loose ends out there when it comes to season 8. For starters, there’s the whole case swirling around Adam — even if he is not on the island at the moment, we don’t exactly think that any of that is going away and he will have to come back in order to speak a little bit more about it in the future.

Beyond just that, there are also some other questions we wonder here on the subject of Steve and Danny’s restaurant — there’s no update in this particular preview, but eventually we would imagine that the story will come back to that.
