Survivor: Ghost Island episode 12 preview: The family visit
Well, here’s two words to describe it: Family visit. This is a part of the game that we wholeheartedly love, mostly because it’s that part of the game where people can revert back to their genuine selves. It’s also that time in which you start to see people think more about their home life rather than their island life. These people on Naviti may all love each other and that’s great, but this is where they need to make some huge moves and seeing loved ones may awaken some of that.
At the moment, think about people like Chelsea, Sebastian, and Angela. Even though the three of them are still in the game, we’re not seeing much from them story-wise to make us think that they’ve got any shot unless they are the final three together. This is where they need to speak with some loved ones and get cured a little bit of the “Naviti Strong” mantra. Laurel and Donathan are really the only two members of Malolo left, and it would make a whole lot of sense for some people to try and pick the two of them up. Sure, Laurel and Donathan may be with Wendell and Domenick for the time being, but we hardly think that either one of them wants to make it to the end with them. If some of the other Naviti players go to them and offer a deal, shouldn’t they at least think about it? They would only be able to get rid of one power player and they’d have to worry about some blowback, but it’s something they have to do eventually and for a player like Donathan, he’s not likely to win many immunity challenges. He needs to think outside of the box a little bit.
Another interesting thread to follow: How nervous should Kellyn be over Wendell and Dom, and could their closeness cause her to think about flipping?
