Designated Survivor season 2 episode 21 preview: A risk; lives in danger

Are you curious to know what’s coming up on Designated Survivor season 2 episode 21? Let’s kick things off here with a pretty important reminder that we are absolutely in the midst of what is the home stretch for the series. There are only two more episodes to go until the season, and possibly the entire series, is completely over. This is a cause for tremendous desperation, largely because the ratings are not such that we’ve got a ton of confidence. Cautious optimism is probably the best thing we can say about our philosophy for the series’ future, but even that at the moment may be a little too bold and drastic a statement.

For those of you who do want to get a little more insight regarding what is coming up story-wise, the Designated Survivor season 2 episode 21 synopsis has a little bit for you right now:

White House Council Kendra Daynes finds herself in a dangerous situation that puts another White House staffer’s life at risk, while Hannah Wells takes an unexpected trip for answers.

What’s pretty interesting about the way in which the final episodes are going to go this season is simply this: The fear of death is going to be VERY present for every single character on the show. We are looking at a situation here where there is one staffer at risk in this upcoming episode; meanwhile, in the upcoming season 2 finale the stakes are going to be raised yet again to new heights. If you love any of these people there’s a reason to be tremendously fearful that something could happen to them. Designated Survivor needs to find a way to get as many people talking as possible — while killing a character or putting one in severe danger may not be the ideal way for this to happen for many fans who want to see their favorites safe, it is an option that the writers may very easily decide to go with.
