Supergirl season 3 episode 17 preview: Supergirl vs. an unholy trinity

Supergirl season 3 episode 17 carries with it the title of “Trinity” and based on some of the information that is online, this episode looks to be all sorts of epic. As a matter of fact, we’re gearing up for a showdown that could be worth of a finale. For the first time all season, Reign, Purity, and Pestilence are all together; with that in mind, our heroes are going to have their work cut out for them trying to figure out how to actually stop them. Things were bad enough when Reign was around; more than likely, they are only going to get worse with these other two now firmly in the midst.

To go along with all of this, there is another major problem here in Lena Luthor’s secret — she’s been operating independently of anyone and this could cause quite the quagmire for Kara. She will, after all, have to figure out how to separate the part of herself that

Below, the Supergirl season 3 episode 17 synopsis offers up a little bit more insight in regards to just what you can expect to see:

SUPERGIRL TAKES ON ALL THREE WORLDKILLERS – Still reeling after learning about Lena’s (Katie McGrath) secret, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) asks Guardian (Mehcad Brooks) for a favor that could alter his relationship with Lena forever. Meanwhile, with all three Worldkillers united, Supergirl and the team brace for an epic battle. Caitlin Parrish & Erica Weiss directed the episode with story by Jessica Queller and teleplay by Caitlin Parrish & Derek Simon (#317). Original airdate 5/7/2018.

What we do want to know in the aftermath of this episode is this: If Supergirl and the whole team at the DEO do emerge victorious here, where do they go from here? How do you top this victory? There are obviously still many more stories on the other side of this episode and there could be a lot of drama still to come. While the fates of Purity and Pestilence are not entirely clear, we do feel fairly confident that Reign is going to stick around until close to the finale. There is no way you are going to be able to build up as powerful a story based on any other character and where they are.
