Timeless season 2 episode 7 ratings rise; Deception episode 8 improves
For the first time in the past few weeks, the NBC show rose in the ratings! Timeless went from a 0.5 rating the past two episodes to a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic. This is the sort of performance that gives us at least the slightest bit of hope for the future, though we are certainly still concerned. One of the biggest reasons to renew Timeless at this point is simply this: We do think that there are very few NBC series that are going to perform better in this timeslot Sunday nights at 10:00 p.m. Eastern. This is a difficult, brutal timeslot that is rather tough to succeed in. We give Timeless credit for improving its ratings and we’re certainly interested in seeing what the future holds.

As for the latest on Deception…
There is also some good news to report from that vantage point. The ABC series posted a 0.8 rating in the demo and then close to 3.7 million viewers, which mark the best total performance of the show since the start of April. We do recognize that due to it following American Idol, there is potential for it to adjust down in the final ratings. For now, though, we’re a little more optimistic about the future of the mystery show than we were at this point a week ago.
Hopefully, we’ll know more about the future of both of these shows come May.
