How Once Upon a Time season 7 episode 20 leads into series finale
There is a two-part Once Upon a Time series finale coming on ABC next month but before rolling around to that, there is another important episode to get to. Think in terms of what is coming May 4 with both the return of Jared Gilmore as Young Henry. His appearance is going to be great for the sake of reflection, but there is also going to be more at play here beyond just that.
Want to get a little more insight into just what some of what could be? Then take a look at some of the comments below via executive producer Adam Horowitz to TVLine:
“A lot of things we’ve been building through the season reach a boiling point … but a surprise at the end of the episode spins us into the finale — a challenge that arises from within.”
Suffice it to say, that sounds interesting. It’s also pretty smart given where we are right now in the series. It would not make a whole lot of sense for Once Upon a Time to end the series by bringing in someone we haven’t even met. It makes a little bit more sense, meanwhile, for the show to establish some drama within what they are actually doing already. Give a few new twists and turns to the show we already have and then set the stage for something spectacular. As of right now, the cast of returning players for the finale includes the likes of Jennifer Morrison, Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas, and many others. This is meant to be a celebration of the entire series and beyond that, a chance to get emotional like you potentially have not been to date.
