NCIS: Los Angeles season 9: What’s happening with Hetty?
Why was that? It was mostly via a conversation that Hetty had with Keane, one that suggested that there could be an unfortunate aftereffect that she has after her capture in Vietnam earlier this season. Agent Orange is a dangerous thing and as we move forward into the final episodes, this season, we do think there’s at least some cause for concern. Hunt’s absence this season has already been felt in some ways — just remember that earlier this season, her capture in Vietnam meant that she was gone for substantial periods of time. It would be a shame to see Hetty go like this, especially during a season in which we already lost Granger (officially, though Miguel Ferrer passed away last year).
One caveat to what Hetty said tonight is this: She often does speak in a way that is different from most of us. Therefore, when she was talking about the time she has left, it’s possible that this could mean a higher range of time than we would first assume. Also, any sort of diagnosis or feeling that she has could prove wrong.
If there is one thing we do know about Hetty, it’s this: She’s never going to back down without a fight. We figure that this is going to be a big story coming up, no matter what’s going on with the character and her health. This is an important story for us to follow in the future, provided of course that we read the scenes with Keane properly in regards to what she is going through. At least there are a few more episodes beyond tonight’s for this to be explained a little bit further — that gives us proper time to look at this further and see just what is going on.
