Supergirl season 3: Does this Supergirl – Reign photo hint at something coming?
To be specific, we’re gearing up for what could be another epic battle coming at some point down the road with Supergirl and Reign. That is how we are at least interpreting the new Instagram photo below via Reign herself in Odette Annable. There is, quite clearly, going to be something epic coming in the near future in a battle that is very much awaited. We don’t imagine that Annable and Melissa Benoist put themselves in this location in these costumes just for the fun of it.
Here is the glorious thing about buildup. Despite us at the moment being 15 episodes into this current season, we have not actually seen too many instances at the moment of these actors spending much in the way of time together as Reign and Supergirl specifically. As Samantha Arias and Kara Danvers, that’s a little bit of a different story. The producers have made it so that some of these battles feel special and that is probably going to be something that continues now as we move closer to the end of the season.
Do we expect battles with a little more frequency still? Sure, especially as we’re gearing up for our heroes to square off against some of the trio of Worldkillers in Reign, Purity, and Pestilence. At the core of everything is probably always going to be Supergirl vs. Reign, but there is going to be some serious drama and danger that surrounds the two in the weeks to come.
