Siren episode 7 video: Is someone going to die?

Siren episode 7 is set to air on Freeform Thursday night and judging from some of the latest material that is out there about it, there could be more to the episode’s title in “Dead in the Water” than we first thought. By the end of this episode, it certainly feels possible that there could be a character we end up losing by the time this episode concludes.

For some more evidence of this, just take a look at the promo below! It does appear as though there is some exciting news and also some terrible news that you’re going to see over the course of this hour … but let’s start with the good news. We’re going to finally get more of a merman presence on this show! We do think that one of the things that Siren has been so successful at so far in its run is finding a way to inject a lot of mystery into almost everything that it does. You do often see the story from the eyes of some of the main characters and don’t exactly understand what is going on below altogether clearly. This will change over time but clearly the writers are allowing this to be somewhat of a slow burn so that we can get to know everyone before they start really pouring on a lot of different information about the mythology and life below the deep.

When Ryn is taken in for questioning, Maddie rushes to her rescue. Meanwhile, Ben and Xander return to the deep sea to search for answers, only to be met by an uninvited guest…

As for the terrible news that we referenced earlier, we definitely are worried that the character we end up losing is the merman — judging from the way this body is unceremoniously dumped into the water, it feels like this is a character that some are not altogether sad to eliminate from the world.
