Elementary season 6 episode 1 sneak peek: Sherlock, Joan are back on the case

Elementary season 6 episode 1

It’s been a long time coming, but the good news is that come Monday night at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time, Elementary season 6 episode 1 is set to air! We just hope that, in the process, you get a really good chance to see just how much the events of last season end up impacting what is happening with Sherlock and Joan now.

If you don’t recall (which would be understandable given the fact that the finale was so long ago), at the end of season 5 Sherlock came to the realization that he was not well. He was struggling mentally and with an ailment that will continue to plague him in at least the early part of the premiere. How that ends up impacting Sherlock’s career should be a fascinating point of discussion. His biggest strength has long been his brilliant mind and capacity to solve almost any problem, but if that starts to fade even temporarily his confidence could be shaken. Sherlock is someone who has relied so much on his mental acuity that being off his game slightly could completely disarm him.

Based on the sneak peeks below, Sherlock is going to need to be on his A-game given that there is a rather difficult case awaiting him. A former party-girl heiress is going to contract Holmes and Watson in order to look for a one-time sex tape partner of hers who has gone missing. This is someone who was obviously enormously popular at one time, judging how Joan teases Marcus about how everyone has already seen the tape already. While Sherlock seems to be reasonably sharp within this preview there is no guarantee that this is going to last forever.
