Elementary season 6 episode 2 spoilers: Watson copes with death
As for why this episode is so important, the answer to this is twofold. Not only is this installment going to feature the death of Watson’s biological father, but it will also feature the return of her half sister for the first time in a couple of years. Check out the synopsis below for more information:
“Once You’ve Ruled Out God” –Watson and her half sister, Lin (Samantha Quan), have conflicting reactions when their estranged biological father dies. Also, Holmes and Watson find themselves on the hunt for a stolen plutonium shipment they fear will be used to make a dirty bomb after a department of energy inspector is killed with a lightning gun, on ELEMENTARY, Monday, May 7 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
The further that we get into this episode, the more clear some of Watson’s internal monologue could come out. This is a difficult struggle for her for many different reasons, starting with the simple fact that she and her father didn’t have a lot of time in order to resolve some of their issues. There’s still this empty pit out there when it comes to some of her feelings and it’s going to be hard to see how this episode completely resolves those.
To make matters all the more intense for Watson, the job is going to continue to be a rather big priority. Over the course of this episode you’re going to see the character team up with Sherlock for yet another case described above. How much use is she going to be in the event that her mind is elsewhere? We certainly understand that this could be an enormous distraction for her and that is something that could end up play a role in the story.
