Madam Secretary season 4 episode 19: Elizabeth battles over Santa?

Madam Secretary season 4 episode 19

CBS has two sneak peeks for this Sunday’s episode of Madam Secretary and we couldn’t be more excited. This episode is going to be jammed pack with a lot of different events taking place.

In the first sneak peek, we see Elizabeth and Henry discussing Elizabeth’s impending trip to Montreal in order to resolve territorial claims on the North Pole. Elizabeth explains that a group of Canadian divers found the wreckage of the HMS Wanderer and the divers claim that passengers planted a flag in the North Pole, thus claiming the territory as theirs. Meanwhile, Russia, Norway, Denmark are also calling dibs on the North Pole. Elizabeth explains that there’s many things to consider, the ice caps, natural resources, etc and whoever get the right to the territory will change the balance of power.

It’s a very informative sneak peek because it right away give us all the details we will need to understand the main crisis. In addition, we see Elizabeth vent to Henry about the problem and what’s on her mind. Throughout the 4 seasons, we look forward to these scenes. When the two of them talk in their room it’s a time for them to be themselves. It’s a time for them to discuss whatever they want. Elizabeth’s job requires confidentiality and she’s lucky enough to have someone by her side that has the clearance to know what her job entails. Often times it helps Elizabeth to talk it out with Henry and finds a solution.

The second sneak peek involves Kat and Blake. It’s revealed that Blake wants to get more involved in policy and Elizabeth has granted that wish under the supervision of Kat. The two are about to give a presentation for Future Energy, however, Blake is unsettled by the fact that the big oil is the one sponsoring the World Expo because Congress cancelled their funding. Blake can’t seem to get over this, but Kat assures him this is how these things go.

It was a great sneak peek because we are happy to see him getting more involved. He’s always been reliable and does his job amazingly, so it seems right that Elizabeth would give him the chance to explore where he wants his life to go. Whatever he decides we know he will be great at it.
