Deception season 1 episode 8: Will Cameron survive Sunday’s episode?
This past Tuesday ABC had a special episode of Deception air and the first of two parts did not disappoint. Right up until the end we were intrigued and anticipating Sunday’s conclusion.
So what is coming on Deception season 1 episode 8? Let’s start things off by sharing the official synopsis:
“In the second part of a special, two-night event, the FBI works with the Deception group to help stop the Mystery Woman from successfully committing one of the largest jewel heists in history. And, for the first time this season, viewers will have their perspective reversed and see how Cameron Black performs his greatest deception yet.”
Judging from the promo, fans will be going back and taking a look at Cameron’s kidnapping from his point of view, right up until he is locked in the vault. In part 1 we saw the events from Jonathan’s point of view, but part 2 will dive deep and show fans that Cameron wasn’t held in captive, in fact, he helped them in creating the illusion. It’s an interesting take on things, but it works for this show.
This episode will explain that shocking cliffhanger, in which Cameron collapses inside the bank vault when it began to depressurize. Now, we don’t believe Cameron will die because that would be a major shake up 8 episode in during it’s freshmen season. Fans haven’t had enough time to truly get into the mind of this character to become truly obsessed. It just wouldn’t add up. So would her survive? We are guessing that it will have something to do with the illusion. Cameron is very smart and somehow it seems out of character for him to not plan for a bad scenario. He plans for everything with carefulness and attention to details. If Cameron was being forced to help the mysterious woman, than he knows that after he going to be a loose end. We believe that Cameron planned for this and will get out alive, the how though intrigues us very much.
We are also excited to see how Jonathan will react going back to jail. It’s obvious he enjoys helping the FBI and solving the mystery woman case from the outside, and doesn’t want to go back. However, he’s still the prime suspect in a murder and until the police have enough evidence, Jonathan will be in prison. So how would someone react to be free only to go back? Well, as we mentioned it’s going to be hard, however, this could make Jonathan even more determined to solve the case, because he got a taste of what life is like for Cameron. Ever since the FBI provided Jonathan with a private space to solve the mystery woman’s clues, he’s been obsessive. Now it could be doubled.
Overall fans we are going to be on the edge of our seats watching part 2 of this event.
Deception airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on ABC.
