The Resident episode 14 (finale) spoilers: Conrad’s last stand
Isn’t it rare to see a hospital show featuring doctors who also serve as the de-facto Big Bads? This is absolutely something that we haven’t seen too much of but it definitely works here given just how despicable Dr. Bell and Dr. Hunter have been. The one downside that comes with this, though, is how in the world you keep the two characters a part of a possible season 2 if they are found out and defeated. It’s already become clear that Dr. Bell really doesn’t have it anymore and beyond this, that Dr. Lane is giving her patients too much chemotherapy for the sake of her own pocketbook. Doesn’t it make sense that these characters are just fired?
Anyhow, The Resident episode 14 synopsis does give you more of a sense as to some of what’s coming:
In a final and drastic attempt to save Nic from Lane’s acts of sabotage, Conrad must call in a favor from the one person he promised he never would. Meanwhile, Mina’s partnership with The Raptor (guest star Malcolm-Jamal Warner) takes on new colors when Micah (guest star Patrick Walke) is rushed back to Chastain with major heart complications and Dr. Bell’s alliance with Lane is put to the ultimate test when one of her patients is readmitted to the hospital in the all-new “Total Eclipse of the Heart” season finale episode of THE RESIDENT airing Monday, May 14 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (RES-114) (TV-14 D, L, S, V)
