The Resident episode 12 spoilers: Nic’s quest hits a snag

Resident episode 12

Want to know some of what lies ahead on The Resident episode 12, airing next week on Fox? Let’s just say that much of that is going to begin with Nic finding herself, once again, in even more trouble in her efforts to stop Dr. Lane Hunter. We know that she is very muhc determined in order to properly stop her, but she’s also learning in the process of this that she’s dealing with a “one step forward, two steps back” sort of situation. Right when she starts to think that she is making some substantial progress, something else happens that causes her to rethink that. Tonight, that included her being fired.

For a little bit more news now regarding the overall story of The Resident episode 12, including some of the dangerous implications that could be coming up for Emily VanCamp’s character, check out the official synopsis below:

Conrad and Devon work tirelessly to save the life of Bradley, a fellow doctor who has fallen through the hospital skylight. As the team contemplates how and why he fell through in the first place, Dr. Bell looks back to when he benched Bradley for falling asleep during surgery. Amidst the madness, Mina is tasked with showing Chastain’s new star cardiothoracic surgeon, Dr. AJ Austin (guest star Malcolm-Jamal Warner), around the hospital, but is caught off-guard by his volatile personality. Meanwhile, Nic finds renewed enthusiasm when she uncovers an oncologist who used to work with Lane, but while paying him a visit, she fears that she’s being followed in the all-new “Rude Awakenings and The Raptor” episode of THE RESIDENT airing Monday, April 30 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

From a patient perspective, it looks pretty clear that Bradley is going to bring back some memories, whether they be good or bad, of a very different part in Dr. Bell’s life. Meanwhile, we’re very much interested in getting a chance to see Malcolm Jamal-Warner on the show! He’s one of those great character actors who we’re shocked hasn’t had more series regular gigs thanks to the wide array of work that he’s shown himself capable of doing. Without a doubt he’s great, and the more interesting characters you can throw into the world of The Resident, inevitably the better off that it’s going to be when the dust settles.
