Hawaii Five-0 season 8 finale will feature a cliffhanger
Speaking per TVLine, executive producer Peter M. Lenkov notes that this story, which could in part involve Adam’s dead half-sister, “plays all the way to the end of the season, and is really a part of our cliffhanger.” That’s certainly an exciting prospect, but it should be noted that this doesn’t necessarily mean that the character himself will be directly a part of it. Remember that Adam left Hawaii recently in order to go back with Kono, claiming that he was done with the dangerous mission to take down organized crime on the island. It was around this time that we first saw his half-sister’s dead body on the shoreline.
The challenge with bringing Adam back in the flesh now is that Ian Anthony Dale has another show in Salvation that he has to work on. If there is a silver lining here, it’s mostly that this storyline still feels so open that it feels almost necessary that we get a chance to see him back on the show again moving forward. It’s a little bit strange to imagine us being able to keep seeing Dale without also seeing Grace Park, but we love the Adam character and will be happy for however many opportunities to see him turn up.
In general, though, we just want to hope the best for him and also that something good comes this guy’s way over the course of season 9. In general, we’re not entirely sure that there is a character within the Hawaii Five-0 world who has gone through more terrible stuff continuously than he has … and it doesn’t seem as though it’s going to be letting up in the near future based on the current course of things.
