Empire season 4 episode 15 preview: ‘A Lean and Hungry Look’

Empire season 4 episode 15

Empire season 4 episode 15 is coming up on Fox in one week’s time, and the two words we would offer up in advance of it airing are rather simple: Get ready. This is going to be one of the most eventful, dramatic, and intense episodes yet as the fight between Lucious and Eddie hits another pitch. This is where the strength of getting someone in your cast like Forest Whitaker really starts to come into play, since he is the sort of performer who can do almost anything. It’s much more interesting dramatically to have him and Terrence Howard playing at odds, and we certainly wouldn’t be all that shocked if this is something that remains a part of the story until we get around to the end of the season.

Below, the Empire season 4 episode 15 synopsis offers up some other insight right now when it comes to some of what lies ahead:

As Eddie (guest star Forest Whitaker) fights for his place at Empire Entertainment and gets the board on his side, Lucious and Shine must find a permanent solution to keep him out. Meanwhile, Cookie is desperate to fulfill a promise to a friend before it’s too late. Then, when tensions rise in Jamal and Tory’s new band, Preacher Azal (guest star Kade Wise) inspires Jamal with an idea to get everyone in sync in the all-new “A Lean and Hungry Look” episode of EMPIRE airing Wednesday, May 2 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Based on reading this alone, it should be abundantly clear that everyone’s starting to get a sense of desperation to protect both themselves and also those that they care about. Empire is a series that has to date given you a lot of different surprising twists and more are apparently coming.

With all of this stated, though, there is one other clear question we have to ask: Just how many more reinventions do we really need to see from Jamal?
