Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 21 sneak peek: Jackson’s donation fallout

Jesse Williams - Grey's Anatomy season 14 episode 21

On Thursday night’s Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 21, one of the things that you can expect to see is some significant fallout to what was a pretty enormous scandal that started to surface last week. Harper Avery, considered by many to be a founding father of modern medicine, just so happens to also have a history of harassment, misconduct, and a number of other terrible things. The headlines on this subject are all over the press and because of that, the entire Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital is walking around on eggshells.

With that in mind, we imagine that many doctors and board members at the hospital are thrilled that there is an opportunity to focus on something different for a while: The results of the surgical contest. Isn’t that great? We like to think so, but as it turns out there is another big problem at play here: The fact that Jackson, Harper’s grandson, is the person that funded said contest anonymously. Then, he decided to actually enter in it.

You can see a little bit more insight into this crisis in the sneak peek below, where just about everyone comes to the same conclusion: Under no circumstances can the press learn the truth about what is going on here. If they are to learn about this, all of a sudden the hospital is facing even more bad PR. While Jackson entering his own contest is nothing compared to some of what Harper did, they don’t exactly want to add to the problems that are present here. The worst thing about all of this is that so many of these doctors have done some wonderful work through the contest, and the last thing that you want to see is that somehow overshadowed by some headlines that have nothing to do with it.
