Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 25 (finale) spoilers: A spy ring and more

Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 25 is going to be the final episode of the season and if you know one thing about finale episodes for this show, it’s this: They tend to go big. They’re action-packed, explosive, dramatic, and they offer up potential cliffhangers like no other show. We expect absolutely nothing less for the CBS series as we start to peak ahead to a story that should leave many hairs out there standing on end.

Based on the Hawaii Five-0 season 8 finale synopsis below, it feels almost as though what McGarrett and the team are about to uncover is something so much more than just a local problem in Hawaii — it’s a crisis that could actually impact much of the entire country:

“Waiho wale kahiko” – McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) and Five-0 discover a Russian spy ring hiding in plain site on Oahu when a Russian nuclear attack submarine appears on the coast of Waikiki.

In a lot of ways, we do like to think of a finale as something that is really representative of an entire year’s worth of storytelling. With that in mind, we figure that this finale episode is going to be bringing a whole lot of drama to the table plus excitement, twists, turns, surprises, and hopefully big moments for some of the new characters. We’re only just starting to get to know Junior and Tani after just one year on the job — ultimately, we’re hoping that there will be chances to tell these stories on such a greater level.

As a side note, can we also get an appearance from Eddie in here somewhere? He’s a part of the cast photo, after all!

It’s too early to say for certain that there will be a big cliffhanger at the end of all of this but it definitely seems as though that opportunity is there. Just think about things this way — the ratings for Hawaii Five-0 have been pretty fantastic for a long time. With that in mind, the writers must have gotten a pretty good feeling that they would be coming back for another season a while back.
