Lethal Weapon season 2 episode 21 preview: Murtaugh steps up

Lethal Weapon season 2 episode 21

Let’s start this Lethal Weapon season 2 episode 21 preview by briefly addressing the obvious elephant in the room: We know the Clayne Crawford story is still out there and there are conversations to be had about it. You can read Clayne’s response to the reports over here.

For the sake of this article, though, we’re speaking about the story of the show given that for so many, Lethal Weapon is escapism and there are only two episodes left this season. Hopefully within these episodes we see a lot of surprising, interesting storytelling in which some exciting things happen and Murtaugh gets to take on a different job at the same time. Being interim captain for him could be exciting, but the problem that comes along with that it comes with a whole new set of responsibilities. That could be a challenge, to put it mildly — especially when a case ends up being tied to Riggs.

Below, the Lethal Weapon season 2 episode 21 synopsis offers up some other news when it comes to what lies ahead:

On Murtaugh’s first day on the job as interim captain, the wife of a popular businessman is abducted and the squad finds a connection in the case to Riggs’ father (guest star Rex Linn). Meanwhile, Riggs is left to grapple with his family and work in the all-new “Family Ties” episode of LETHAL WEAPON airing Tuesday, May 1 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (LET-221)

Overall, it’s pretty darn fair to say that this is going to be an intense, dramatic episode with a lot going on from start to finish. There’s a pretty good chance in which we’re going to see something that leads almost directly into what’s happening in the finale. There is a reasonable chance that this could, in turn, lead to a season 3.
