Timeless season 2 episode 6 ratings, Westworld premiere, and American Idol
While we were excited to see the numbers for “The King of the Delta Blues,” this episode didn’t do much to move the needle in a positive direction. The NBC show drew another 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic; this is a pretty even performance to what the show drew the week before and, beyond that, there are no easy excuses to make this time like it airing opposite the Academy of Country Music Awards.
Unfortunately, some of our optimism is favoring for the future of the series; hopefully, there will be a chance to see things turn around soon. If not, it seems as though the revival of the series could be a one-time thing and nothing more.
As for some other ratings notes on the night…
The Westworld season 2 premiere ratings – The HBO show had a number of different things going for it, whether it be a great deal of promotion or reviews from critics. Nonetheless, this first episode drew in total around 3 million viewers across multiple platforms.
Is this a solid performance for the HBO series? Certainly, but it may temper the notion that this show is going to be the follow-up to Game of Thrones in terms of it being a huge commercial smash. While it does have a number of big things going for it, there is also one that does has us concerned about it getting a flurry of additional viewers: It’s not altogether easy to follow, especially this season.
American Idol recovers – After posting some of its lowest ratings of the season at the end of this past episode, the ABC show is now moving once more in the right direction! Last night’s live performance show drew, in turn, a 1.5 rating in the demo. As for whether or not that’s going to lead to another season, that’s something we’ll have to wait to figure out.
