Poldark season 4 screening date revealed; premiere date implications

Poldark

While we’re waiting for a Poldark season 4 premiere date announcement — trust us, we’re as anxious as anybody — it does seem as though it is coming right around the corner.

Here’s what we know at the moment: There is going to be a screening with the BFI taking place on Wednesday, May 2 in London — if you want to win tickets to attend, all you need to do is respond in the tweet below with your favorite quote from season 3. This is a tremendous chance to be a part of the Poldark family for one night, and to also catch the premiere of season 4 a little bit earlier than some other people all over the world.

As for what this means in terms of the show’s actual premiere date, we don’t think that there would be a screening event for season 4 months before the show’s season 3 premiere. We speculated over the weekend that the series could be starting as early as May 20, and we still think that a late May start date for the show is feasible and would be fun. Who doesn’t want to transition into the summer with a little bit of Ross Poldark? It’s great to think that the start of the season is so close given everything remarkable that Poldark brings to the table in between the political intrigue, the strong performances, and of course the breathtaking visages of Cornwall. This is a series that throws more fantastic things at you than almost any other one out there.

Rest assured that once some more official news is out there, we’ll have it for you here.

Remember that if you’re reading this in America, you are likely going to have to wait a little bit longer. Poldark season 4 is likely not going to be starting on PBS in America until the fall.
