Madam Secretary season 4 episode 18 video: Is Matt single again?
Here is a little bit of good news, those, for many of you out there who may still be ‘shipping the two of them: It does appear as though the door is firmly open for something to happen. After all, Matt is single again! In the sneak peek below, Matt (who, alongside us, is a member of the “Matts with Glasses” club) makes it clear that he has broken off his current relationship. His belief is that long-distance relationships do not work and he does not want to put himself through some of the pain and frustration that can come along with that. He wants to be able to move forward … but that’s tough when he doesn’t seem to be altogether great at finding more options for himself.
This, apparently, is where the idea of his mother comes into play. She is going to serve as a de-facto matchmaker in some ways coming up for him unless he could find some other sort of method to find love. May we suggest the person right in front of you in Daisy? The two just make sense — they work together (no long-distance issues), they care about each other, and they have an intellectual connection that will help to keep the relationship exciting.
Hopefully, there will be some movement on this front before the end of the season — if not, at least we do know that there is a season 5 renewal in the books and Madam Secretary can explore this relationship a little bit more at that point.
